Description

An introduction to Acting with scene work (plays & modern film/tv scripts), monologues, improvisation. A Introduction to various Acting Techniques: Strasberg's Method Acting, Stella Adler's Technique, and Meisner Technique.

Students will be assigned scenes and a scene partner. Students will be expected to rehearse the scene and get off completely off book (fully memorized)  by final week to perform the scene for the class.

Monologues will be assigned, unless a student supplies their own with approval of Instructor. Monologues will be performed throughout the four weeks as students get comfortable and off book.

Each week we will explore acting techniques and rehearse scene work to receive feedback and guidance towards your final class performance.

This is a professional performing arts class.  Instructor expects professional student participation with a true interest and passion for performing arts.

All assigned scene work and/or monologues must be fully memorized by assigned date of performance.
